Description refers to the VX-G142 television receiver with a built-in video recorder (OVD-5 tip mechanism).
All settings related to the service mode are made using a standard remote control transmitter toring.
Set parameters are signaled on the screen in the form of OSD messages.
Before entering the service mode, the tester must be connected to the antenna input of the receiver.
Pre-programming of non-volatile memory If you need to replace the non-volatile memory, use the pre-programmed memory. The necessary ^ coordinates, initial entries in specific memory cells can be made as follows:
• set the volume to the minimum,
• press and hold the [VOLUME DOWN] button on the local keyboard and then send the
kaz [6] from the remote control transmitter,
• the following message appears on the screen of the receiver:
where: item 01 specifies the cell address,
Pos. EB defines the data.
• by pressing the SET [+] or [-] button, the memory cells with addresses from 01 to 06 are selected successively (position of the morki will blink),
• after selecting the parried cell, press [ENTER] to select the data item (the data item will
mrugad)
• to the selected memory cells, using the SET [+] or [-] button, assign the values given in Table 1,
• after entering data for the selected cell, press $ cf and press [ENTER] to select the next combo
memory
• to save all data entered, connect the receiver to standby.

Note: The memory programming process is only possible if the internal clock is reset. IN
To do this, disconnect the 220V power supply for about 30 minutes by wiping the power plug from the power socket or discharging the C101 capacitor with the receiver switched off.

A way to enter service mode

disassemble the C101 capacitor with the receiver off.
Complete the following steps in the order listed:
• set the volume to the minimum,
• press and hold the [SILY GtOSU -] (VOLUME DOWN) button on the local keyboard and then
kaz [9] from the remote control transmitter,
• one of the messages will appear on the screen of the receiver according to figures 1-6 corresponding to the particular rules

Service regulations
Note: Before attempting to perform service adjustments, set the correct value for the + A line voltage. For this purpose belongs:
• switch the receiver to AV mode (without giving external signal),
• connect the constant voltage voltmeter to the measuring point TP401,
• set the voltage 103V ± O.5V with the potentiometer VR502.
m The selection of the adjustable parameter is carried out using the appropriate number keys [1-7] on the transmitter
remote adjustment.
■ You can change the setting values of the selected parameter [VOL UP / DOWN].
Table 1 lists the regulations that have been made in the service mode.
